ASVAB
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test is being offered this year at Sherrard High School. This is the military entrance exam, but can also provide valuable career information. Taking this test does not sign students up for the military, or commit them in any way. This test is open to current juniors and seniors.
Test Date: November 16th 8am

SAT
Students are required to take the SAT during the spring of their junior year as a graduation requirement.
Students can find practice materials at www.sat.org under "Practice".
Test Date: April 11, 2024

ACT
Students are also eligible to take the ACT as their college admissions exam. However, the State of Illinois requires students to take the SAT at school as part of their graduation requirement.

PSAT
The PSAT assessments are given to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.
Test Dates:
PSAT 9 - April 8, 2024
PSAT 10 - April 9, 2024
Juniors can also take the PSAT/NMSQT - it is a great opportunity to enter into scholarship programs and get practice for the SAT exam.
Test Date: October 25, 2023

MAP
Students in 7th grade through 12th grade take the MAP assessment three times per year.

Illinois Science Assessment
In compliance with federal testing requirements, Illinois schools are required to administer a science assessment to students enrolled in a public school district in grades 5, 8, and 11.
Test Date: March 4, 2024.
