  • October 2021 - Winola Elementary Art Teacher, Tony Vermeer - leads a Kindergarten spider parade each year. Students decorate their 'spiders' made out of small paper plates. They learn about patterns as they create the project.

    As the students dance their spiders down the hall to the tune of 'Boris the Spider' by John Entwistle - the rest of the classes line the hallway and cheer them on.

    Vermeer said it's one of the highlights of the year in art, "They LOVE it and everyone looks forward to the parade. It also seems to be one of their lasting memories of their time spent with me."
