• DESKTOP PUBLISHING
    This course is designed to provide students with information and skills needed to create attractive print and online documents using the microcomputer with desktop publishing applications.  Using current industry software, the student will be able to create, view and make changes in a variety of documents properly utilizing text and graphics. Students will produce pamphlets, brochures, newsletters, multi-media presentations and create a school newspaper in cooperation with the Media Communications class.  Students will use new hardware devices including a flat bed color scanner, digital cameras, digital video camera, color high resolution laser printer.
    The second part of this course will continue to develop desktop publishing and graphic skills.  Students will continue to demonstrate competence in the development of business communications by producing professional documents.  Focus will also be placed on technical and design concepts for desktop publishing and presentations. Additional advanced technologies, such as video conferencing, will be explored as they become available.  There will be a lab fee for this course.

    WEB DESIGN
    This course is designed to provide students with information and skills needed to use and create pages on the World Wide Web.  Students will learn how to create web pages using HTML code and web authoring software. Students will create their own pages along with updating pages on the web.  Students will create multimedia files using a variety of hardware and software. Students will create files in Flash that can be used on the web.
