On Wednesday, May 24, Sherrard students were honored to receive scholarships from the Sherrard Academic Foundation, through the Moline Foundation.
This year the SAF gave out 4- $1,000 scholarships and 2- $750 scholarships to the deserving recipients.
The chosen students were: Carly Anderson, Kyla Elsbury, Hailie Shemek, Sarah Gibson, Ryley Zippe, and Nathan Strandberg.
"Sherrard students are fortunate to have such a dedicated group like the SAF to support their future endeavors in education.
By working tirelessly to raise funds and create opportunities for our district, the Foundation is ensuring success for another generation of our graduates. I could not be more proud of our Foundation and the hard work of these deserving students being recognized and rewarded!" Said Superintendent, Dr. Carl Johnson.
