I have been a school nurse in the Sherrard School District since the 1999-2000 school year. I graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with an ADN degree and a BS degree from Faith Baptist Bible College. Prior nursing experience includes working as a registered nurse on a medical-surgical floor and pediatric floor at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA. I received school nurse certification through the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Dr. Joycelyn Elders (15th Surgeon General of the U.S.A.) sums up my philosophy of the importance of school nurses when she stated, "You can't educate people if they're not healthy and you certainly can't keep them healthy if they're not educated."

Hello everyone, I am very proud to be part of the Sherrard School District since 2016. I am the School Nurse for Sherrard Elementary and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Prior to becoming a School Nurse, I worked on a Post-Op/Med-Surg floor at Unity Point in Rock Island. I have also worked as a RN at Medical Arts Associates in Moline. I received my School Nurse Certification through Illinois State University in 2022.

My husband and I have 3 children; our oldest graduated from Sherrard and our other 2 children are still in the district. We enjoy being part of this awesome community and school district.

Hi, I am Dale Kling. I have been a nurse since 1976. I graduated from Black Hawk College in 1976 with an ADN Degree. I have worked as a medical-surgical nurse and Emergency nurse. For 20 years, I worked at Skip-a-Long Day Care as their nurse. I have substituted for Rock Island schools as school Nurse since 2016 and drove a school bus for Rockridge. I am happy to have joined Sherrard Schools at Matherville.

Hello everyone, my name is Reshea Lawson and I am proud to represent Winola Elementary as your school nurse! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with 10 years of experience. I have, and still do, work at Unity Point Health in Rock Island. I care for cardiac, respiratory and pulmonary impaired patients. My husband and I have been together since 2004 and we have 2 children in the district. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, reading, swimming and coaching softball and gymnastics!!
