When threatening weather conditions make it necessary to close school for the day, the parent notification calling system will be used to inform families.  The Superintendent will also “tweet” the announcement using the district’s Twitter account:  @200Sherrard.  Local television and radio stations will be notified as well (see list below).  In most cases, the decision about closing school will be made before 6:30 a.m.
