The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test is being offered this year at Sherrard High School. This is the military entrance exam, but can also provide valuable career information. Taking this test does not sign students up for the military, or commit them in any way. This test is open to current juniors and seniors.

Illinois has transitioned from the SAT to the ACT as the state's federally required high school accountability assessment for English, language arts, math, and science. 

The state now mandates the school-day ACT as a graduation requirement for all 11th grade students. 

9th grade students will take the PreACT 9 Secure.

10th grade students will take the PreACT Secure. 

Students in 7th grade through 12th grade take the MAP assessment three times per year.

Students will no longer take a separate Illinois Science Assessment in grade 11.
