Message from School Nurses
We desire to partner with parents/guardians to promote health and wellness in the educational setting. Please contact us with medication changes or if your child develops a new physical or emotional condition.
Students requiring medication during the school day, must have medication orders completed by their health care provider on file that are renewed annually. This is for over the counter and prescription medication. The medication must be in the original bottle.
Reminder: Keep the school updated with changes in contact information and emergency contact information so we can reach you during the school day.
COVID Exclusion Guidance
Covid Exclusion Guidance from IDPH (Illinois Department of Public Health)
Students may not attend school if any the following symptoms are present: Fever (100.4 or higher), new onset of moderate to severe headache, shortness of breath, new cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell, fatigue from unknown cause, muscle or body aches from unknown cause.
If a household member has any of the above symptoms, all students in the household must stay home as well.
Students will be temporary remote learners until verification of a negative covid test, or an alternative diagnosis from the physician, or else they must stay home 10 days with improving symptoms and no fever for 24 hours and no fever reducing medication in past 24 hours. The parent/guardian is to write a note documenting that ill student or household contacts do not have a fever, no fever reducing medication and symptoms have improved.
